Quakers share a way of life rather than a set of beliefs.
Quakers seek to experience God directly, within ourselves and in our
relationships with others and the world around us. We meet together for
silent worship in local meetings which are open to all.
New to Quakers?
If you are visiting this website for the first time and would like general
information about Quakers we have a leaflet called
Your Guide to Quakers
You are very welcome to come to a
meeting to see if it’s right for you.
What happens in a Quaker meeting?
Where is the nearest meeting to me?
Here in Wales
Throughout Wales and the border regions there are active communities of
Quakers. There are currently approximately 35 meetings which meet regularly.
(map pending)
We have a newsletter called Calon ('Calon' is Welsh for heart).
Copies of Calon go to all our meetings and we now have Calon in pdf form
here on the website.
Within the structure of Quakers there is a body called
‘Meeting of Friends in Wales’
(MFW). Quaker Faith and Practice outlines the role of MFW.
We have an in-house notice
board which links members and attenders to the latest mailings.
If you would like to listen to a sample of video shorts which express how
some people see themselves as quakers and attenders click on this picture

Please note: we are currently working on this website and
updating the material. This may mean that some of the links are not active at
the present time or may seem 'unpolished'.
If you have any recommendations or comments please
contact Jules Montgomery, the MFW administrator.
